Mentors are off for the summer and will return Fall quarter!

The path to a health career can be confusing, but we are here to help! If you ever have any questions concerning pre-health requirements, becoming involved in co-curricular activities, making sure you are prepared for professional school admissions tests, or what your next step should be, come by our main office to talk to a Peer Mentor!

Our HPAC peer mentors are also available throughout the academic year during their Ask a Peer Mentor Hours.  Our peer mentors are highly involved student organizations on campus as well as health-related programs in the community. They can help you find co-curricular activities that fit your interests as well as clarify any questions you might have about basic health school requirements or what it is like to be a pre-health student and what you can do to manage your time efficiently.

Schedule an Advising Appointment

Before scheduling an appointment for advising, you must attend a one-time, one-hour HPAC Introduction to Health Professions Workshop.

Still have questions after our many comprehensive workshops? Are you ready to come up with a long-term plan? Our professional advisors are available for scheduled appointments for students who have more complex questions or would like to discuss their personalized path to a health profession.

HPAC Spotlight

HPAC Spotlight- Carlos Tejeda: 3rd-year Biology major and pre-med student

During Fall ‘17, Carlos was granted an opportunity to be part of the “Butterfly Project” working closely with HPAC by assisting undocumented and DACA students who want to pursue a career in medicine and attend professional school. Carlos mentioned, “Being part of the Butterfly Project is an honor and it is time to demonstrate our support to our undocumented students so they can have an equal opportunity in achieving higher education and pursuing their career dreams. The Butterfly Project working with HPAC will be the foundation in assisting pre-health undocumented and DACA-mented students by sharing resources and informing them that they have our support.”  Click to read more.
